- Dana, Sue and I drove to Las Vegas while Elle flew. Dana and I stayed at Venetian; Sue and Elle stayed at Park MGM.
- We stopped at Primm, NV, on the drive in. It was pretty depressing. Very few people there, and the employees were worried about their futures, as the properties were scheduled to close on July 4. (Since then, Terrible's has offered to take over operations.)
- Saturday we had lunch at Din Tai Fung at Aria. The food was great...but our waitress forgot to submit our dessert order, and we waited for way, way too long.
- We went to Circa to watch the US/Brazil friendly. While we were there, we discovered that Stadium Swim has an exemption with the Nevada Gaming Commission where they don't have to let people in for free if they just want to gamble.
- We stopped at Slots-A-Fun to play some old coin-in slots.
- We had a great time seeing The Wizard of Oz at Sphere (which was our main reason for making the trip).
- We played the the Pinball Hall of Fame.
- Dana and I ate at Zeppola Café at the Grand Canal Shoppes in Venetian.
- This was a fairly last-minute trip for the first March Madness weekend.
- I arrived Wednesday afternoon, Mike arrived Friday morning.
- Listener Eamonn set us up with tickets to a March Madness viewing party for all-day Friday at Resorts World. Free food and drink, and a nice couch to sit on for watching the games.
- We met up with listener Jim from New York, who joined us at the Crapless Craps tables only buying the 2 and 12 for $1,000 each. It worked out well for him.
- M Resort was nice. Nothing bad to say about it, except for the terrible cashier situation. Not enough employees.
- As we had done last year, Josh Duffy and I taught craps.
- I had a little to much to drink at Planet Hollywood, but was able to sober up enough for Podcasters After Dark.
- This was a sad trip as it included the Celebration of Life for Mark "360 Vegas" Wojtowicz. It was a great ceremony, with lots of laughs and tears.
- I met up with Mark Wojtowicz and some of his listeners at Nevada Brew Works and Soubelly BBQ the day before the festivities started.
- Tim Lawson and I ate at Diablo's Cantina before the Family Meet and Greet.
- The worst drive to Las Vegas I've ever had. Left at 3:00 p.m., arrived at 11:00 p.m. Traffic everywhere until we cleared the Cajon Pass.
- We got together with Jerry Branger, who now lives in Vegas.
- Glen and I played in a World Poker Tour TORSE tournament at Wynn.
- T - 2-7 Triple Draw
- O - Omaha 8
- R - Razz
- S - Seven-Card Stud
- E - Stud 8
- I was so sick on the last day that I couldn't even stop at Original Tommy's on the way home.
- Had some White Castle sliders for the first time in years.
- Went to Fontainebleau for the first time. I really liked it.
- Hiked the Rainbow Vista Trail in the Valley of Fire with several other attendees. It was HOT.
